A Power Distribution Unit is basically a box of switches; a critical component in electric vehicles, responsible for managing and distributing high-voltage energy to various HV units within the vehicle. It acts like a traffic manager, deciding how much power from the battery should be channelled to which component, be it the motor, charger, or the lighting system. The PDU optimizes your riding experience by allocating power precisely where it’s needed during various driving conditions. Traditionally, PDUs have been used in electric cars and trucks, enabling connection and control of all HV components from a single location. These units are bulky and infeasible for motorcycles.
